With the development of Medicare’s Prospective Payment System in the early 1990s, our company founders established iit/SourceTech in 1994 to create tools and services that would combine the expertise of food service procurement with cutting edge technology to help long-term care facilities meet their prevailing challenges of purchasing and cost control.
From initially serving markets in the Midwest and Southeast, today iit/SourceTech serves approximately 500 facilities spanning over 25 U.S. states with a distributor network that stretches throughout the country and a matching partner network of food manufacturers. Along the way, strategic initiatives have expanded to culinary and management solutions, restaurant relationships, and food processing and manufacturing.
Our focus today still emphasizes dining quality and hospitality while controlling costs to deliver budget containment.
